A sender is a mailbox your agents send from. Senders live in the Inbox section under Sending profiles.

Connecting a mailbox

OpenHive sends through several provider types:
A sender’s provider can’t be changed after it’s created. To switch providers, delete the sender and add it again.
For SMTP you’ll need a host, a port between 1 and 65535, and a mailbox password — usually an app password rather than your account password.

Sending identity

Every sender carries the profile recipients see: a from-address (required), a display name, and a signature. These go on every email that sender sends.

Controlling volume

Two settings govern how much mail a sender carries:
  • Daily limit — the maximum this sender sends per day. A whole number, 0 or higher.
  • Rotation weight — this sender’s share when work is spread across several mailboxes. A whole number, 0 or higher. Higher weight means a larger share.
Rotation exists because concentrating a campaign on one mailbox is how mailboxes get flagged. Spreading volume across several, each under its own daily limit, is the safer pattern.
These limits are per-sender. They work alongside the workspace-level rate limits, and the lower of the two applies.

Maintenance

  • Replace password or Replace API key — leave blank to keep the current one.
  • Re-point a sender at a different connected account if its authorization was revoked, instead of rebuilding the sender from scratch.
