Install the app

Download the build for your platform and install it. See Installation for per-platform details and system requirements.
2

Open OpenHive and sign in with your account. The app needs to reach OpenHive Cloud to authenticate — you cannot use the app while signed out.
3

Wait for the first-run setup

The very first launch prepares the local agent runtime on your machine. This is a one-time step per profile and can take several minutes. Later launches start immediately.
Don’t quit the app during first-run setup. If it’s interrupted, the next launch restarts the preparation from the beginning.
4

Pick a playbook

A fresh workspace opens a Welcome to OpenHive walkthrough. Rather than starting from a blank page, pick a proven playbook — for example Lead Generation or Outbound BDR — and OpenHive creates a colony already configured to run it.You can also type a task directly into the home screen prompt box: “Describe a task for the hive…”. Type / in that box to attach a skill to the request.
5

Watch the colony run

The colony opens its own chat view. Agents report progress as they work, and pause to ask you for a decision when a step needs human judgment — approving a target list, or confirming a campaign before it launches.
